Our commitment
Aurora GmbH operates the social app ceya. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
ceya is an adults-only service. Registration requires a date of birth, and anyone under 18 cannot create an account. But we recognise that an age restriction alone does not protect children — offenders lie about their age, and adults can use adult platforms to harm children who are elsewhere. These standards therefore apply regardless of whether any child ever uses ceya.
This page is our published standard under Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, and it describes what we prohibit, how to report violations to us, and how we respond.
What is prohibited on ceya
The following are strictly forbidden and are grounds for immediate, permanent removal from the service:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any visual depiction — photograph, video, illustration, computer-generated or AI-generated image — involving a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Sharing, uploading, storing, linking to, requesting or advertising such material is prohibited.
- Sexualisation of minors. Any content that presents a minor in a sexualised manner, including material that is not explicit but is designed to elicit sexual interest in children.
- Grooming. Building a relationship, trust or emotional connection with a child in order to sexually exploit or abuse them. This includes attempts to move a conversation to a private channel for that purpose, to isolate a child from trusted adults, or to obtain sexual content from a child.
- Sextortion. Threatening to expose intimate images or information in order to obtain further sexual content, money, or any other benefit from a minor.
- Child trafficking. Advertising, recruiting, facilitating or arranging the sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Minors on the service. Creating or operating an account while under 18, or creating an account on behalf of a minor.
- Facilitating any of the above, including sharing links, contact details, terminology or techniques intended to help others find or produce such material.
These prohibitions are also part of our binding Terms of Service and apply to every user, everywhere ceya is available.
How to report
In the app. Every profile, post, comment and user can be reported directly within ceya. Select the report option, choose the reason, and add any detail that helps us understand what you saw. Reports can be submitted without leaving the app.
By email. You can also write to us at childsafety@aurora-creation.com. Reports about child safety are prioritised ahead of all other moderation queues.
You do not need an account to email us, and you do not need to be certain — if something looks wrong to you, report it and let us assess it.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service and cannot intervene in a situation as it unfolds.

How we respond
We act on actual knowledge. When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM on ceya — through a user report, our own review, or a notice from a third party — we act without delay.
Our steps:
- Removal. The content is removed from ceya and from our storage systems.
- Account termination. The account responsible is permanently suspended. We do not issue warnings and we do not apply a graduated response for this category of violation.
- Preservation. We preserve the relevant data as required to support a law enforcement investigation, separately from ordinary deletion routines, for as long as the law requires or permits.
- Referral to authorities. We report to the competent law enforcement authorities where the law requires it, and we cooperate with lawful requests for information.
- Prevention of re-entry. We take reasonable measures to prevent a terminated user from returning under a new account.
We do not require certainty before acting. Where a report is credible and the potential harm is to a child, we suspend first and assess afterwards. A wrongly suspended adult can appeal and be reinstated; a child who is harmed while we deliberate cannot be un-harmed.
Appeals. Users may appeal a suspension by writing to support@aurora-creation.com. Appeals are reviewed by a person. We reverse decisions found to be wrong.
Preventive measures
- Adults-only registration with a date-of-birth check that blocks account creation for anyone under 18.
- Reporting available throughout the app, on every surface where user content appears.
- Blocking, so users can prevent unwanted contact.
- User-controlled visibility, including full control over discoverability through the nearby feature, which can be switched off entirely.
- No anonymous or random pairing. ceya does not randomly connect strangers into private conversations.
- Human review of reported content. Where we introduce automated detection systems in future, human review of the resulting decisions will remain available.
Compliance with law
Aurora GmbH complies with applicable child protection law in every jurisdiction where ceya is available. This includes German criminal law on child sexual abuse material (Sections 184b and 184c of the German Criminal Code, Strafgesetzbuch), the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) on notice and action, and applicable child safety law in the United States and Canada.
We keep these standards under review and update them as law, guidance and our own practice develop.
